We are near Cheverlon than oak & Clear.I will fish oak soon & Clear Creek with nymphs and larger assorted flies that have native bug appeal.
I use videos many times but find it a tadawkward to use onece a large fish is hooked, too much action first 2-3 minutes, heart pounding etc. I publish on You Tube but think your site is better.
Thanks

ole man swanson Holbrook

The Shadow Fly Fisherman

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=P8VKKCjf6HQAnonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04577172253738456909noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2791225265007778599.post-20514350987528825192012-09-13T21:39:10.862-07:002012-09-13T21:39:10.862-07:00Thanks ELO, and that must be something to have a c...Thanks ELO, and that must be something to have a cabin right near the creek! Larger fish are definitely scattered throughout the stream, although they can be tough to entice (at least in my experience), and unfortunately, some folks tend to remove the better trout, limiting the potential of this creek...

Thanks again, IainIain Emmonshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02113543475780380349noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2791225265007778599.post-59597955054564057992012-09-09T14:36:16.148-07:002012-09-09T14:36:16.148-07:00Great article! I can't claim to be an expert on the best trail to take down to Oak Creek, as I have still only made the one trip to the stream to date. However, I would suggest just walking up or downstream from any of the crossings for a half mile or so, and I suspect the crowds will more or less completely thin out--that was certainly the case on my visit.

Good luck, IainIain Emmonshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02113543475780380349noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2791225265007778599.post-8086251281786547222011-06-16T23:54:43.545-07:002011-06-16T23:54:43.545-07:00Great story and pictures. I've heard and read quite a bit about East Clear recently and plan on taking a day trip up there soon. Which crossing would you recommend starting at for some good waters without the crowds?
